Help Make A Difference
First-year funding for the SPARC support and mentoring program was provided by a Kip Tiernan Social Justice Fellowship Award, an outreach award honoring the founder of Rosie's Place, a women's shelter and advocacy center in Boston.
Seven years in, thanks to private funders and the sponsorship of the Adult Learning Center in Nashua, New Hampshire, we continue to be an ongoing service for women in the Nashua and Boston area. Mentoring and empowering these women depends upon the support and generosity of donors like you.
Here's what one SPARC graduate had to say:
"I feel really smart and different when I leave this class. People look at me differently. The class uplifts you.
Being in housing, people want to put you in a box. But we all have talents. We are creative. There is lots of
support for us as women here, and that is huge."
YOUR DONATION AT WORK
$15 buys a class resource guide for one woman; $225 buys resource guides for all the women in a session
$30 buys supplies-guide, notebooks, folder, pen, pencil--for one woman;
$450 covers supplies for all the women in an eight-week SPARC session
$67 pays for class for one woman for one night; $535 pays for the eight-week session for one woman
$1000 sponsors one class session for all women--instructor, tutors, and administrative and operating expenses
We appreciate every gift of any amount, and every dollar goes toward aiding women in need on the path to their best life.
